Dear Believers,

 

          In Volume 27 No. 50 of The Final Call, I wrote three paragraphs that include this sentence. “I do not intend to spend your precious time writing about the condition (Aphasia) that Allah is blessing me to overcome. I intended to share this elsewhere, Allah willing.” I explained this in those paragraphs.

This is the “elsewhere” (www.cuttingedgeknowledge.org ) where I am now sharing this information.

          Let’s begin by going to The National Aphasia Association. This past January I was in the hospital when a nurse gave me some information of this association. I like what I read. I thought that whenever I was in a position I would, Allah willing, refer the reader to this information. Later, I intend to write why I chose this source to begin.

          Obviously, I am not a doctor, nor do I pretend to be one. I have learned, from personal experience, some doctors do not understand Aphasia.

I believe this is a good starting point to begin to clear away certain basic misconceptions about Aphasia. The people who wrote this material do not know me personally. Smile. But some, not all, of the information is relevant to my situation. Later I’ll explain this specifically, Allah willing.

To conclude, I saw at least two points in it I disagree with. I’ll get to that next time, by the help of Allah. Without some understanding of Aphasia, that I’m working to overcome, the reader lacks the reason why it took me a little over a week to finish this short statement.
